Jimmie Ray Ward, age 64, of Springport, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2025. He was born in Marshall Michigan on May 20, 1960, the son of the late Jimmie and Faye Ward. Also known as Buzzy, Jimmie graduated from Albion High School and worked as a State Security Guard. He loved to cook and work on cars, but his favorite thing was spending time with his grandchildren. Jimmie will be remembered for always joking with people and making them laugh.

Along with his parents, Jimmie is preceded in death by his son, Keith Ward, and siblings: Brontina, Kathy, and Jerry. He is survived by his wife of five years, Valerie; children, Ray (Vicki) Ward and Christopher Woods; daughter-in-law, Michelle Ward; grandchildren: Matthew Ward (Soltis), Mary Anne Ward, Serenity, Connor Ward, David Alvarado, Rachael Peso, and Alex Woods; sister, Yulanda (Joseph) Sewell; and many nieces and nephews. Special recognition to those family and friends closest to him: son, Ray Ward; grandson, Matthew Ward (Soltis); cousin who was more like a brother, David Lawhead; friends, Tony Trustee, Delmer Mann, and Bam Miller; and friends who were more like daughters, Christine Donnelly and Becca Mann.
